About The Trip

Idaho Guided Bear Hunt Packages

Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters has several active baits per hunter throughout the bear season. They provide tree stands with safety harnesses or ground blinds. Most of the tree stands are set for archery and handgun hunters. During the day hunters glass the hillsides and tend bait sites with the guides. After a hearty early evening meal, the hunter will sit at a bait site.

Although most bears are harvested during the evening, Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters uses trail timers and often sit baits in the morning.

For those hunters who would rather not sit on a bait, Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters has the option to spot and stalk. This involves covering ground on foot, glassing from strategic vantage points, and stalking located bears. Guides may also try predator calls. A key advantage to hunting bear with Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters is that licenses and tags are sold over the counter, and they are glad to assist you in purchasing them.
