The Kenai Riverside Resort is one of the most unique experiences available anywhere. One part luxurious heated canvas cabins located on on the banks of the Kenai River, one part social and evening entertainment, and one part professionally prepared meals largely based on our local and daily catch. Nestled on a two acre property just 10 minutes drive from the heart of Soldotna, waking up to the sightings of a moose right outside your tent is not an uncommon event. We’ve even had them walk right through the outdoor kitchen!
So what’s it like to stay in our canvas cabins? Well, we invite you to check out the pictures below highlighting the comfortable beds, warm pellet-stove heaters, the food, and the social evenings around the campfire with cocktails and often live music played by our favorite local musicians. If the canvas cabins are not your style we also have two bungalow rooms each with a kitchenette and 2 twin bunk beds sleeping up to 4 people.
While we can’t take credit for the beautiful backdrop, the closeness with nature enhances our ability to appreciate and reflect upon it. Furthermore, it allows us to build a really unique experience around it.
Kenai Riverside Resort couldn’t be located at a more perfect location. At the end of a country road, nestled on 2 acres of Kenai River property, our guests are able enjoy both the conveniences of being very close to town, as well as an Alaska setting so perfect Moose are a common sighting walking right through the resort. Being located at river mile 25 puts you in the center of the best fishing on the river while protected from the constant stream of boats found on the lower section of the Kenai River. Soldotna’s proximity to everything on the Kenai Pensinsula makes it the preferred location to stay. From Soldotna you’re only a short drive from Sterling, Cooper Landing, Russian River, Anchor River, Deep Creek, Kasilof River, Homer, Ninilchik, Anchor Point, and Seward.
